Bill-
Were our boys kept off because its preliminary and they want to keep them fresh for the games that matter? It's odd to have all 3 sit

Feels great to have a bunch Flyers prospects to talk about, it’s been a long, too long. One area Hextall seemed to excel in.

With Farabee, all of the returning WJC players were kept out of the Sweden game. Half (including Farabee) also were kept out of the Finland game, and the others who played against the Finns will probably not play in the finale against Canada.

With York and Brink, they had played in every game until yesterday.

All three should be in the lineup against Canada.

Bill you a little surprised about Murphy joining Knoblauch staff?

Read seems like such a longshot, interesting why he choose the leafs.

Good for Murphy after all the poop that was said about him after he got fired. Provy and Ghost also head their best season with Murphy as the D coach.

Yes, I am a bit surprised, at least in terms of the "associate head coach" title.

I meant more towards the label Murphy was given as being Hextalls eyes and ears. Now clearly Knobblauch trust him I assume.

Does anyone else think that the Hartford locker room is going to be awkwardly silent when an " assistant coach" with a reputation for being a snitch is there?

Yesterday, none among Flyers 2018 first-round pick Joel Farabee, 2019 first-rounder Cam York or 2019 second-rounder Bobby Brink was in the lineup as Team USA fell short, 6-5, in a comeback bid against Finland. Earlier in the day, Canada downed Sweden, 5-2.

Which proves my point. People bring up the coaching when talking about the down year but rarely is the it mentioned it was the same coach when they had their career best years to date.

It's a good thing Yeo is coaching the defense, because if these guys couldn't handle Murphy, how would they have handled Therrien.

I think it is less about the individual performances and more and the team and the system

I'm aware of it.

1) Three sides to every story.
2) Hardly the only time there have been suspicions about a GM-selected assistant being an informant back to the GM. (eg: Ken Hitchcock during the Farwell era here).

And really, if they don't want something to get back to the GM, do they really want to be saying it in front of any of the coaches?

I searched twitter for some news on Laine & Domi rumor. One tweet made me spit my drink out I laughed so hard. They said:

Domi > Laine and followed up with Caulfield > Laine.
